Welcome to the Kibworth Parent Association

Welcome to the Kibworth Parent Association

The KPA is Kibworth Primary School’s Parents Association – we’re a team of volunteer parents, carers and teachers who help raise funds to enrich our children’s learning experience and support the superb work of the school.

Our fundraising is becoming increasingly vital to supplement ever-declining school budgets, and since its inception the KPAhas raised literally thousands of pounds, which have been spent on replacing and improving equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education and the facilities in school in general. Since May 2015 funds raised by the KPA have been invested in the amazing Rainforest Library and new books, new furniture in Foundation Stage and chairs for the ICT suite, PE clothing and school refurbishment.

If you’d like to get more involved, meet other parents, have a say in how we spend the funds, or have some great fundraising ideas to share, why not come to a KPA meeting? We usually meet every 4-6 weeks, on Mondays at 7pm in the school staff room. Whether you can only come to the occasional meeting to chip in your ideas, or would like to have a ‘formal’ role on the committee, you’re always very welcome! We are particularly keen for new parents to join us so please do come along if you can.

Thank you to all our children, parents, school staff and local businesses who support our events and activities - we couldn’t do it without you! The KPA team

P.S. Keep up to date by following us on Twitter or finding us on Facebook

Everyday Fundraising

Everyday Fundraising

Here are details of two very simple schemes that you can be part of throughout the year, raising regular funds for the school with very little effort at all:

Use a Sainsbury's Card

If you or your friends and family buy groceries in store at Sainsbury’s (anywhere in the UK) please consider using one of our Sainsbury’s cards. You can sign up at any time of year and it takes just a few minutes to set up and earns regular £s for the school every month at absolutely no cost to you. Simply fill in a short form (available from the school office), arrange a monthly standing order from your bank account to the ‘Kibworth Parents Association’. Account average is around £50-150 per month, but you can do any amount you choose, and we upload the full amount to your Sainsbury’s card each month, which you can then spend in store, just like cash, whenever you wish to. S Sainsbury’s then give us around 4% of all spend back again so if you spend £100 per month, that’s a regular donation of £4 per month to the school. And anyone can have one, not just parents, so why not ask your friends, grandparents, wider family and colleagues to also sign up?

Shop online via www.easyfundraising.co.uk

Choose from over 2000 of the UK’s best-known online retailers including many popular names such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis and HMV, and when you shop using the links on the site up to 15% from every purchase you make is donated to the cause you choose to nominate -Kibworth CE Primary School! It doesn’t cost a penny extra to shop and raise funds for the school, and as many retailers now give extra discounts when you buy online, you can even save money! Register now - it takes just 2 minutes and you’ll raise money for the school every time you shop online!
